MIDHAT AJANOVIĆ


Midhat Ajanovic - Ajan is an author and film maker born in Sarajevo (Bosnia) in 1959. He studied journalism in Sarajevo and film animation in Zagreb (Croatia). Between 1984 and 1992 he directed seven animated short films.
Since 1994 he is living in Gothenburg (Sweden) where he studied film studies.
He teaches animation at various Swedish film schools and writes regularly about film and animation in the Swedish second-largest daily Göteborg-Posten.
He has published many books in various genres and in several languages. Some of his books deal with history and theory of animated film. His two most recent books are De visuella tonsättarna (“Composers of the visual”, Optimal Press, Gothenburg 2005) in Swedish and Animazione e relismo (Animation and Realism”, Cuem, Milan, 2006) in Italian.
He worked as the organizer and artistic director of the festivals in Podgorica (Montenegro), Zagreb (Croatia) and Eksjö (Sweden) and was the member of many internationally juries.   
He also did some work in the field of literature, journalism and newspaper’s cartoons. For his work, he got various rewards at significant festivals and exhibition world-wide.
Midhat Ajanović Ajan je pisac i filmski autor rođen u Sarajevu (BiH) 1959. godine. Studirao je novinarstvo u Sarajevu i animaciju u Zagrebu (Hrvatska). U periodu između 1984 - 1992 realizirao je sedam profesionalnih kratkometražnih animiranih filmova.
Od 1994. živi u Göteborgu (Svedska) gdje je studirao filmologiju.
Redavno predaje film i animaciju na više švedskih filmskih škola i piše za Göteborg-Posten. Do sada je objavio više knjiga u različitim žanrovima i na nekoliko jezika. Neke od njegovih knjiga bave se teorijom i historijom animiranog filma. Najnovije knjige iz te oblasti su De visuella tonsättarna (“Kompozitori vizuelnog”, Optimal Press, Gothenburg 2005) na švedskom jeziku i Animazione e relismo ("Animacija i realizam”, Cuem, Milan, 2006) na italijanskom.
Radio je i kao organizator i umjetnički direktor festivala animiranog filma u Podgorici (Crna Gora 1988), Zagrebu (Hrvatska 2002) i Eksjöu (Svedska 2003) i bio član mnogih žirija na međunarodnim festivalima animacije i karikature.
Bavi se i književnosću, novinarstvom kao i novinskom karikaturom. Za svoj rad višestruko je nagrađivan na festivalima i izložbama širom svijeta.
